In 2009 the film "Verhüllte Freiheit"/"Veiled Freedom" was recommended by the Landesmedienzentrum Baden-Württemberg (Germany) for use in schools.

"Verhüllte Freiheit" /"Veiled Freedom" was shown in an international education centre for woman and girls (Internationales Bildungs- und Beratungszentrum für Frauen und Mädchen, MIRA) in Bochum. The film was followed by a lively discussion between the filmmaker and the women in the audience about the topic of the "headscarf" as well as "women and Islam."

The evening was organized through the local women´s network (FrauenNetzwerk), the city of Witten´s gender equality bureau (Gleichstellungsstelle der Stadt Witten), the mother´s centre (Mütterzentrum) and the initiative "Religions for Peace" (Religionen für den Frieden, WCPR Witten).
